President Droupadi Murmu visits Ayodhya, Vrindavan and Govardhan during Chaitra Navratri. Meets Premanand Maharaj and to perform 21 km Govardhan Parikrama
Spiritual Visit Begins from Ayodhya
On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and the Hindu New Year, President Droupadi Murmu began her Uttar Pradesh visit from Ayodhya. She participated in the Shri Ram Yantra installation पूजा at the Ram Mandir, marking an auspicious start to her यात्रा.
Later in the evening, she reached Mathura by special aircraft to continue her spiritual itinerary.

During her second day of the visit, the President arrived in Vrindavan and visited the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram.
Here, she met renowned saint Premanand Maharaj. The meeting lasted around 27 minutes and included discussions on spirituality, social service, and public welfare.
President Murmu appreciated the saint’s simple lifestyle and spiritual teachings. She was welcomed in a traditional manner by the ashram members, and the atmosphere remained devotional throughout the visit.
Darshan and Aarti at Prem Mandir
The President also visited the iconic Prem Mandir, where she offered prayers to Radha-Krishna. She performed rituals and attended the aarti ceremony amid devotional chants.
A group of 51 ashram residents presented kirtan during her visit. The President also witnessed the temple’s laser show. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel accompanied her during this कार्यक्रम.
Govardhan Parikrama Scheduled Today
The next key highlight of the visit is in Govardhan. The President is scheduled to visit the Danghati Temple, where she will perform milk abhishek of Giriraj Ji.
She will then undertake the 21-kilometre Govardhan Parikrama. According to officials, she will be the first President of India to complete this sacred ritual.
Tight Security and Route Preparations
Extensive security arrangements have been put in place for the President’s visit. A full dress rehearsal was conducted along the route from Vrindavan to Govardhan.
The district has been declared a no-flying zone until March 21, 5 PM. However, her scheduled visit to the Udiya Baba Ashram has been cancelled.
President Droupadi Murmu’s visit highlights a deep connection with India’s spiritual traditions, reflecting the cultural significance of Ayodhya, Vrindavan, and Govardhan in the country’s religious landscape.
