Putin Trump Phone Call: Putin and Trump discussed the Iran war and Ukraine conflict in a phone call, with Russia proposing a fast diplomatic solution to ease Middle East tensions.

Putin Trump Phone Call Hold “Frank and Constructive”
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has proposed a swift political and diplomatic resolution to the ongoing tensions surrounding Iran during a telephone conversation with former Donald Trump.
According to the Kremlin, the discussion between the two leaders was “frank and constructive.” It was reportedly their first conversation since December and covered multiple global security issues.
During the call, Putin emphasized the need for a quick diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the joint US-Israeli military operations in the region.
Kremlin: Diplomacy Is the Only Sustainable Solution
Speaking to reporters, Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said that Putin outlined several diplomatic options to stabilize the situation in West Asia.
According to Ushakov, the Russian president highlighted the importance of negotiations and political dialogue instead of prolonged military confrontation.
Putin also mentioned that Russia had recently held consultations with leaders from Persian Gulf nations, as well as discussions with Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian. These conversations, he said, could help form the basis for a broader diplomatic initiative.
Russia considers Iran a key strategic partner, and Moscow has repeatedly called for dialogue to prevent further escalation in the region.
Putin Trump Phone Call Was “Very Good”
Speaking to reporters after the call, Trump described the conversation with Putin as “very good” and confirmed that both sides discussed the conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia.
Trump noted that several officials from both countries participated in the call. He also expressed concern about the prolonged war between Russia and Ukraine.
According to Trump, the relationship between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy remains highly tense, making negotiations difficult.
Ukraine War Also Discussed
The conversation also touched on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin reportedly suggested that Russia’s recent battlefield gains should encourage Kyiv to reconsider negotiations. However, diplomatic efforts have so far failed to produce a lasting ceasefire.
In recent months, several rounds of talks have taken place involving Russian, American, and Ukrainian officials, including some trilateral meetings. Despite these discussions, no major breakthrough has been achieved.
Russia Signals Willingness to Help in West Asia
Trump said that Putin expressed interest in playing a constructive role in resolving tensions in the Middle East.
However, Trump responded by saying that ending the Russia-Ukraine war would be the most helpful step Russia could take toward improving global stability.
Despite their differences, both leaders appeared to agree that diplomatic engagement remains essential to resolving multiple international crises.
Putin Trump Phone Call highlights the growing urgency among world leaders to find diplomatic solutions to escalating global conflicts.
While Russia has proposed a political settlement regarding the Iran situation, the broader geopolitical landscape — including the war in Ukraine — continues to complicate efforts toward peace.
Whether these diplomatic discussions will lead to concrete progress remains uncertain, but the call signals that major powers are still exploring negotiation channels to prevent further escalation.
