The Staff Selection Commission has officially released the notification for the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026. The recruitment drive aims to fill multiple Group B non-gazetted posts across central government ministries and departments.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Hindi or English
- Diploma/certification in translation or relevant work experience (as per post)

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of two stages designed to evaluate both objective knowledge and descriptive translation skills:
Paper 1 (Objective Type):
- Computer-based test
- Subjects: General Hindi & General English
- Total Marks: 200
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
Paper 2 (Descriptive):
- Translation and essay writing
- Total Marks: 200
Candidates who qualify in Paper 1 will be shortlisted for the descriptive round. Final selection will be based on overall performance and document verification.
