IIT Baba Marriage shocked followers with his marriage to engineer Pratigya in 2026. Know full story, background, and future plans.
Abhay Singh, popularly known as IIT Baba, has once again become the center of attention, but this time not for his spiritual teachings. The former IITian, who gained fame during the 2025 Prayagraj Mahakumbh, surprised his followers by announcing his marriage. Known for his simple and spiritual lifestyle, many people did not expect him to take this step.
According to reports, Abhay Singh got married to Pratigya on 15 February 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri at a temple in Himachal Pradesh. The couple later completed their court marriage on 19 February 2026. Their appearance together in Jhajjar, Haryana on 6 March 2026 attracted a large crowd, as people gathered to see the spiritual figure with his wife. This unexpected development has sparked curiosity and discussions across social media platforms.
Pratigya, reportedly from Karnataka, comes from a technical background and is an engineer by profession. Unlike Abhay Singh, she prefers to stay away from media attention. However, sources suggest that she has been part of Abhay’s journey for about a year and even appeared in his YouTube-related activities.
Their relationship is said to be based on shared life values, vision, and mutual understanding. Pratigya has described Abhay as a simple, honest, and sincere person. Their strong connection and similar mindset are believed to be key reasons behind their marriage. Despite public curiosity, the couple is maintaining a low-profile life and focusing on their personal and spiritual goals.
Abhay Singh studied Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay and later pursued a master’s degree in design. He worked in Delhi and Canada, reportedly earning around ₹3 lakh per month. Despite a successful career, he chose to leave everything behind and follow a spiritual path.
Originally from Sasouli village in Jhajjar, Haryana, Abhay had a deep inclination towards spirituality since childhood. His father, Karan Grewal, has mentioned that Abhay always wanted to become a saint. Today, after marriage, the couple is living a simple and minimalist life in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
Looking ahead, Abhay Singh and Pratigya have plans to establish a “Sanatan University” and possibly an ashram to promote spiritual practices among youth. Abhay’s message remains clear—focus on “sadhana” (spiritual practice). His journey from an IIT graduate to a spiritual figure, and now a married life, continues to attract attention and inspire debate among followers.
