SSC CHSL 2026 Notification Expected Soon

The Staff Selection Commission is likely to release the SSC CHSL 2026 notification shortly for recruitment to Group C posts in various central government departments. The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination is conducted annually for candidates who have completed their 10+2 education.

Once released, candidates will be able to apply online through the official SSC portal within the specified timeline. The recruitment process is expected to attract a large number of applicants across India.

Posts Offered and Eligibility Criteria

The SSC CHSL examination is conducted to recruit candidates for the following posts:

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
  • Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO)

These positions are available across ministries and departments under the Government of India. Vacancy distribution depends on departmental requirements and reservation policies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board
  • Age limit: 18 to 27 years
  • Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government norms

Candidates must ensure that all educational certificates are valid at the time of application.

Application Process and Fee Details

Candidates will be required to complete a one-time registration before filling out the application form for SSC CHSL 2026. The application process will be conducted entirely online.

Application Fee (Expected):

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • SC/ST/Women/Other reserved categories: Exempted

Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, or net banking. Applicants are advised to carefully enter their details, as corrections may not be allowed later.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The SSC CHSL recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

Tier I (Objective Exam):

  • Subjects: General Intelligence, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English, General Awareness
  • Mode: Computer-based test

Tier II (Descriptive/Advanced Stage):

  • Includes writing skills and advanced assessment

Skill/Typing Test:

  • Conducted based on the post applied (LDC/JSA/DEO)

The Tier I examination is expected to be held between July and September 2026. Final selection will be based on overall performance across all stages.
